Spiritual Support during Animal Euthanisia and Grief
Having to euthanize an animal who has become an integral part of yourself and your family can be an overwhelming experience. If you need to euthanize your beloved animal companion but don’t want to face this situation alone, we may be able to support you during this time and help you let go of your furry friend as peacefully as possible.
Depending on your location, Diana, an ordained minister of the Humanitarian Church and founder of Good Acres may be able to meet you at a veterinary hospital, a farm or home a short while before a veterinarian will perform the euthanasia. If you wish, we will pray over the animal before and after s/he has passed on.
If children are present and need to be assisted during this time, we can provide special activity suggestions for you and them to help channel grief in a constructive way and make the experience a valuable life lesson that can ultimately be a healing one.
For in-person euthanasia and grief support within the Frankfort/Lawrenceburg, Kentucky area there is no formal charge for this service though we may ask you to consider making a donation to Good Acres to help us keep our valuable ministry programs going. Please contact us to make arrangements for other areas.
PATRONSHIP HOLDERS living in the Frankfort/Lawrenceburg area, please note. This service is completely free of charge to you and during times of multiple requests for this service your request will be given priority.
