Good Acres is Cover Story of Frank Magazine’s March Issue!
We are overjoyed and honored that the monthly Frank Magazine which is owned by the Frankfort State Journal has chosen us as their March cover story. A full six pages with beautiful photography has been dedicated to the sanctuary and its mission to promote kindness towards all beings including farm animals who typically receive no compassion. Quotes from an interview Frank Magazine did with Diana in which she candidly talks about how our values and actions are misaligned when we call ourselves animals lovers as we pamper our pets while completely disregarding the immense suffering we are contributing to ongoingly by consuming animal products are included. It is very progressive of Frank Magazine to not only handle such a tricky topic head-on but to also make it the cover story.
The exhaustive article is titled ‘A Slice of Heaven’ Good Acres Sanctuary offering safe haven for farm animals. Written by Charlie Pearl with photography by Hannah Brown.
The piece gives a bit of history on how Good Acres came into being, introduces a couple of our animals in more detail, recounts the divine intervention that was at play and brought cow Bridgette and calf Lucky to the sanctuary, talks a bit about Diana’s rehabilitation work with difficult horses and mentions our plant-based special events.
Frank Magazine is a beautiful color publication specializing in unique content originating from within Franklin County, Kentucky. We are all the more grateful to be included since we are technically not inside the said county lines but rather in the neighboring county.
