Crazy Color Fruit Salad

If you want to surprise your kids or guests with a dessert so colorful it will get uhhs and ahhs out of them, try this healthy version of a fruit salad. It is so easy to make you may want to involve your children in the production process.

You can use any type of fruit combination you like. For this particular summer fruit salad we used:

  • bananas
  • strawberries
  • cherries
  • kiwi


For the almost fluorescent blue sauce, all you need are:

  • blueberries (frozen or fresh)
  • a slice of tofu or some non-dairy yogurt
  • a bit of sweetener such as stevia or agave syrup (avoid regular table sugar if possible)

Alternatively, if you want a crazy colored pink sauce, use raspberries.


How to make it:

Cut up the fruit and place in a colorful bowl that will provide high contrast with the intense color of the sauce. Put the sauce ingredients into a blender and mix them up until it looks smooth. Pour over the fruit and YUMM!
