Danny’s Dental Appointment
Have you met Danny aka Hank? If not, you should because he is quite the character. Lately though, a mild tooth ache put a damper on his normal jovial self. So, we called out our veterinarian. Turns out the problem was easily remedied by floating his teeth. A few sharp edges had developed and were making chewing uncomfortable for Danny. All in all it took just a few minutes to take care of the problem.
Having your horse’s teeth checked regularly is very important. Some horses wear their teeth down more evenly than others. So, there is no set amount of time in which a horse must have it’s teeth floated. However, every horse should be checked twice per year.
